Matt is a native of North Muskegon, where he now lives. His practice focuses on civil litigation, family law, probate litigation, and public sector. He enjoys the variety of his work. A natural competitor with a strong desire to win, Matt especially enjoys litigation and advocating on behalf of clients. He takes pride in his trial skills and finds it rewarding to have a personal stake in helping his clients solve problems.
Matt clerked at Parmenter Law during summers while he was in law school. He joined the firm in 2014 after receiving his law degree. Because Matt spent a law school semester as a clerk in the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office, he already had significant trial experience when he joined Parmenter Law. In addition to using his litigation and advocate skills on his clients' behalf, Matt makes sure that he is always available to his clients and that he understands and appreciates the full scope of each client's situation.
Outside the office, Matt spends his free time with family and friends and rooting for Ole Miss athletics. He enjoys being outdoors, especially when he is boating and playing golf.
