Born in the small town of Hart, Anna is a lifelong Michigan resident. She moved to Muskegon to practice law, joining Parmenter Law in 1997—fulfilling her goal of staying close to Lake Michigan. Anna enjoys helping people which is reflected in her legal practice that focuses on elder law, estate planning, and trust and estate administration.
In helping clients and their families, Anna takes a solution-oriented approach that goes far beyond addressing the immediate problem. Her comprehensive, integrated strategy includes a full evaluation of the client's and family's needs and goals, both short-term and long-term. In addition to providing the right legal solutions, Anna reaches out to clients in other ways, such as hosting a support group for families who place loved ones in nursing homes, maintaining a library of resources for clients and families facing long-term care decisions, and connecting clients with valuable community resources including MI Choice Waiver, PACE, and Hospice. Through her holistic, detailed approach, Anna shares in the difficult, very personal situations of her clients and their families, an experience that she finds extremely humbling. To Anna, helping families find peace of mind is the most rewarding aspect of her work.
With Chris Kelly, Anna co-manages the Parmenter Law office and considers the firm her "work family." She values the collaborative approach of the firm as well as the firm's dedication to community service. Anna is very involved in a number of local organizations and often makes long-term care and estate planning presentations outside the office at events and meetings.
Anna loves orchids and keeps several in her office. Outside the office, she spends her leisure time with her husband Greg, and their two sons, Jack and George. Anna enjoys traveling, especially to tropical islands in the Caribbean, including the Virgin Islands.
